Announcement of Road Asset Management Seminar for International Students in 2021

 

1. Summary of the seminar

Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) holds “Road Asset Management Seminar for International Students in 2021” to introduce the technologies and approaches of Japanese companies and organizations that are making advanced efforts in the field of road maintenance and management.

2. Purpose of the seminar

JICA launched the "Road Asset Management Platform" in October 2017 to match the needs of developing countries with the knowledge, experience, and human resources in Japan. Our platform is not only introduce of domestic research results to developing countries, also promote the spread of human resource development methods, accepting long-term participants, and other various support methods to establish preventive maintenance management in each country in a long-term.

In this seminar, Japanese companies and organizations that possess excellent technologies and make advanced efforts in the field of road maintenance management will introduce their technologies and approaches to JICA's long-term participants studying at universities in Japan. In addition to deepening the understanding of the technologies and approaches related to road maintenance management, the forum will provide international students an opportunity to discuss the possibility of future utilization and application of the introduced technologies and approaches in their own countries.
